Ara-Mada´s Monastery is a great house.
Located in Spain, in the Picos de Europa input by the Leon province, 45 kilometers from the capital of León and 45 kilometers of the Principality of Asturias.
The House is built on remnants of an old convent Templar. It has the distinction of having three springs themselves which supply the entire building.
The building is divided into two parts: a very old rehabilitated and another completely new.
The latter consists of a large living room with grand piano, fireplace and a dining area. There is also a small spa with Jacuzzi, steam room, and showers of contrasts (bithermal, Vichy and Scottish). There are different rooms for various treatments (massages, mud wraps, ...).
Access to the two sides of the house by a small courtyard or atrium.
The part of the new house has seven rooms with names or area sources of ancient history.

The first four rooms are located on the first floor.
The room more spacious Fons Pirene is wide, high and bright. The ceiling is also made of wood. The Aurea Fons has two levels, part of the roof is made of wood and high and some lower. The Fons Aginese and Fons Bandusia are oriented toward the West. The two have wooden ceiling. All rooms have bathroom with shower. The Fons Pirene has bathtub.
The Fons Castalia, Fons Hippocrene and Fons Tamarica are located on the second floor, are attic with wooden roof, are oriented toward the West and have stunning views. The Fons Tamarica has a chair and relax in the bathroom there is a bathtub. The Hippocrene Fons has a corner bath and Fons Castalia has a column in the bath tub.
The old part of the house has a library lounge with a fire place, dressing room, kitchen and a full bathroom on the first floor. Retains original wooden beams. Very warm and welcoming. On the first floor there is a gallery, a former broker who has the role of sun in winter. A very nice place to read, relax, ... There are also two bedrooms with full bathrooms.
At the entrance of the courtyard is a room for the machines (solar panels, boiler `Buderus` water system, ...)

The surroundings are spectacular:
The House is located at the entrance of Picos de Europa and Porma river valley. This valley is located Porma swamp and half hour from the ski slopes of San Isidro.
The valley adjacent´s Curueño River, with their sickles Valdeteja, impressive! Horsetail waterfall ... This meets the next valley, the valley of thorium. Here are the magnificent caves Valporquero. To the east is the valley of the River Esla. Here is the magnificent mountain scenery of Riaño and access to the route of the Cares.
In our valley Porma in summer you can practice adventure sports such as rafting, canyoning, canoeing, ...
To the south is the city of Leon, about 45km. With its great Gothic cathedral, categorized with five stars, MUSAC, Parador de San Marcos, palace Treads, .. also found the ancient Cistercian monastery in the village of Gradefes.
Asturias is located at 45km. north of the Mansion and Oviedo about 98km.
The attraction of this area is combined by the beautiful landscape and artistic heritage. Sport and art.
